Handlers of colts must be over the age of 14. Young stock Championship – 1st and 2nd prize winners of classes 21 – 25.
- Class 21 - Broodmare (with or without foal at foot)
- Class 22 - Yearlings – Open to fillies, colts and geldings
- Class 23 - 2 year old - Open to fillies, colts and geldings
- Class 24 - 3 year old - Open to fillies, colts and geldings
- Class 25 - 4 year old – open to fillies, colts and geldings
Ridden classes - Horses
Ridden Horse Championship. First and Second placed winners from classes 26 to 34. All horses will be stripped but not ridden by the Judge. There will also be a prize for the best turned out Groom.
- Class 26 - Novice Horse - Mare or Gelding 4 years old but not over 6 years old
- Class 27 - Hack Class - Mare or Gelding 4 years old and over. 148cms not exc 160cms
- Class 28 - Riding Horse - Mare or Gelding 4 years old and over
- Class 29 - Hunters - Mare or Gelding 4 years old and over. All Hunter weights will be judged together
- Class 30 - Cob - Mare or Gelding 4 years old and over. 148cms not exc 155cms. Hogged or plaited
- Class 31 - Maxi Cob - Mare or Gelding 4 years old and over. Exc 155cms. To be shown hogged or plaited
- Class 32 - Retrained racehorses - Mare or Gelding. 4 years old and over. Open to any horse who has raced
- Class 33 - Veteran Horse (Ridden) - Mare or Gelding must be 16 years old and over
- Class 34 - Coloured Horse - Mare or Gelding. 4 years old and over. Exceeding 148cms
Ridden classes - Ponies
1st and 2nd prize winners from class 35 to 43. Ponies will be stripped. There will also be a prize for the best turned out Groom.
- Class 35 - Lead Rein - Mare or Gelding 4 years old and over. Not exc 128cms. Riders not to have attained their 9th Birthday before the 1st January of the current year. Lead rein to be attached to the noseband
- Class 36 - First Ridden - Mare or Gelding. 4 years old and over. Not exc. 128 cms. Riders not to have attained their 10th Birthday before the 1st January in the current year
- Class 37 - Show Pony - Mare or Gelding 4 years old and over not exc 148cms
- Class 38 - Show Hunter Ponies - Mare or Gelding 4 years old or over not exc 153cms
- Class 39 - Veteran Pony Ridden - Mare or Gelding must be 16 years old and over
- Class 40 - Coloured Pony - Mare or Gelding 4 years old and over not exceeding 148cms
- Class 41 - Lead Rein M&M - Mare or Gelding 4 years old and over. Not exc 128cms. Riders not to have attained their 9th Birthday before the 1st January of the current year. Lead rein to be attached to the noseband
- Class 42 - Small Breeds - Mare or Gelding 4 years old and over. Shetland, Dartmoor, Exmoor and Welsh Section A & B
- Class 43 - Large Breeds - Mare or Gelding 4 years old and over. Dales, Connemara, Fell, Highland and Walsh Section C and D
Mountain and Mooreland Ponies - Depending on entries these classes may be spilt into breed sections.
